You were blessed with feet and legs so use them. The best form of movment for your body, is the simple action of walking, however there is more to managing you amazing physical body than just cardiovascular exercise, you are also must include some form of resistance or strength, flexibility, core and balance work.
Today I am going to discuss cardiovascular training benefits and then I will go through strength, flexibility and core and balance and following blogs.
Cardiovascular exercise is anything that works the circulatorysystem— , running, jogging, swimming, etc. Thecardiovascular system affects the circulation of blood through the body, which brings about transport
of nutrients and oxygen to the tissues as well as the removal of waste
products. This is an important component for your overall health. However, contrary to popular belief, it may not be the best way to lose fat.
While cardiovascular training is important, it is not enough. Many people say to me, “I walk around every day at work. I walk for hours every day but nothing is happening.” Others say, “I don’t have time to do anything more.” What they are saying is that they are not exercising with purpose. I would consider this “incidental exercise.” This type of exercise is valuable but not complete. Ask yourself, What am I trying to achieve? Do you want ultimate health or just incidental health? It’s up to you.
When I do my routine each day, I want to get results. Interval training is the key and it’s why just 20 to 30 minutes of concentrated movement each day is all you need! So, if you are going to tell me that you do not exercise because you do not have enough time, “not enough time” is just not a valid excuse! What is even better is that no matter what your level of fitness, you will get results as you will be working at your personal best. So, how can someone who has not exercised in over a year (or a decade) get the same results as someone who has been exercising regularly? Easy, each will be doing his personal best, as opposed to just going through the motions. The advantage of interval training is you are moving with purpose, enhancing your brain health while you strengthen your body.
